Eastern Slopes Regional Broadband welcomes all interested town members to join our committee meetings. Due to the exciting efforts surrounding the RFP release we are adding a meeting this month for TOWN LEADS on 12/14 at 6:30 PM via Zoom. Other attendees are welcome, but business will primarily focus on Town Leads. Typically the full committee meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month.

Senator Bennett talks to ESRB town Selectboards

The front page article of the Fryeburg Town Matters publication details a recent visit from our local Senator at a special ESRB meeting with Selectboard members, where he emphasized the importance of the work we are doing to take advantage of this “generational opportunity” to secure funding for broadband infrastructure. Free Online Safety Workshop

December 6th at 6PM at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center in Fryeburg

Det. Royle from the Maine State Police Special Investigations and Computer Crimes Unit will discuss current issues affecting children today regarding Smartphones, Cyberbullying, Sexting and Sextortion, Gaming, Online Enticement, Live Streaming, Peer-to-Peer and Social Media. The current trends these issues present to children, how parents can identify them, some handy tips n’ tricks, and how parents can approach these issues with their children to protect them online.

Free Digital Literacy Workshop

Having fast new Internet is not very helpful if you don’t know how to use it. As part of our effort to increase local broadband speeds, we are also committed to helping less tech savvy residents participate in this important connection to the world. Please take advantage of the excellent FREE workshops coming to the Hobbs Library in the coming months, and pass this info on to friends who need it.

RFP Release

The ESRB Committee is soliciting proposals for the design and implementation of the hardware and electronics necessary to provide a robust and reliable broadband solution for the region as well as the ongoing management and maintenance of the entire network. The long-term goal of the project is to enable access to Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) services for every household in the region.
